Who we are
We are a truly international team and proud to play a central role in securing the electricity supply for Europe. As one of the leading Regional Coordination Centre (RCC), we and our partners, provide integrated services to 16 electricity transmission system operators (TSOs) and their control centers in 12 European countries. Our network security assessment and capacity calculation procedures, play an incremental role in securing the operational security of the European power system every hour of the day, around the clock.
Working with us
We are a smart and highly skilled bunch of people from more than 35 countries: In our team, we don't just pay lip service to diversity – we live it every day. What unites us, is the real motivation to develop and contribute to new ways and new standards for a secure energy supply in Europe. We actively work with our culture and use our company behaviours as compass for our performance.
Lead expert architects. Shape our application ecosystem. Build, not just govern.
At TSCNET, we are scaling our in‑house technology capabilities and building a modern, reliable application landscape for critical services in the European power system. Architecture is a key enabler — and it must work in practice, not just on slides.
We are looking for a Senior Manager Enterprise & Solution Architecture who leads by expertise, works hands‑on where it matters, and helps shape a future‑proof application platform and ecosystem together with Engineering, Development, and Infrastructure.

This is what your day will look like
- Lead and develop a small team of Senior Enterprise / Solution Architects (Lead Experts)
- Define the overall rules as Enterprise Architect, and design our real systems as Solution Architect – you can and want to do both
- Work hands‑on on complex, cross‑cutting architecture topics, such as APIs, integration patterns, and platform decisions
- Orchestrate and leverage the deep expertise within your architecture team, trusting and relying on strong individual ownership
- With your expert team, own and evolve the architecture of our application platform / framework / ecosystem for services and applications
- Define, refine, and actively live architectural principles, guardrails, and guidelines
- Act as architectural sparring partner for Power Systems Engineering and Software Development
- Work closely with Infrastructure and Platform teams on runtime environments, Kubernetes, CI/CD, DevOps, and cloud foundations
- Support Solution- and Software-Architects and agile development teams in designing robust, operable, and maintainable solutions
- Ensure applications and services follow cloud‑ready, API‑first, and service‑oriented / microservice‑focused principles where appropriate
- Balance strategic architectural direction with pragmatic, delivery‑focused decisions
- Help position the Architecture team as an enabler and trusted advisor across the entire organization
You come with
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science / Software Engineering
- Proven experience in Solution or Enterprise Architecture, ideally in complex and critical application environments
- Experience leading (as Line Manager) and coordinating (as Technical Lead) senior expert teams, valuing expertise, ownership, and peer‑level collaboration
- Strong architectural expertise in modern technology stacks, including:
- Cloud architectures and platforms
- Service‑oriented, API‑centric, and microservice approaches
- JavaEE ecosystems (Python and AI experience is a strong plus)
- Hands‑on experience or strong technical understanding of:
- Infrastructure and cloud fundamentals
- Container platforms (e.g. Kubernetes)
- CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and Infrastructure as Code
- Deep understanding of non‑functional requirements such as scalability, security, resilience, and operability
- A clear hands‑on mindset: you enjoy shaping architecture by doing, reviewing, and discussing, without micromanaging
- Experience establishing guardrails and shared principles that empower expert teams to move fast and responsibly
- Confidence communicating and discussing architectural decisions with developers, infrastructure experts, engineers, and leadership
- Power Engineering Know-How is a plus
Who you are & why this role matters to you
- You enjoy leading highly skilled experts, appreciating their know‑how and creating space for them to excel
- You naturally think in terms of orchestrating capabilities, not centralizing decisions
- You see architecture as a collaborative, enabling discipline across development, infrastructure, and operations
- You are comfortable switching between big‑picture strategy and deep technical discussion
- You enjoy shaping organizations early — setting direction before complexity explodes
- You like responsibility, influence, and open, honest technical debate
- Experience in Power Engineering or critical infrastructure domains is not mandatory, but a strong plus and something you’re curious about
Reporting directly to the Head of Technology, you will act as a trusted sparring partner for strategic technology and architecture decisions, helping to align expertise, platforms, and teams into a coherent and future‑proof technology ecosystem at TSCNET.
