We are a truly international team and proud to play a central role in securing the electricity supply for Europe. As one of the leading Regional Coordination Centre (RCC), we and our partners, provide integrated services to 16 electricity transmission system operators (TSOs) and their control centers in 12 European countries. Our network security assessment and capacity calculation procedures, play an incremental role in securing the operational security of the European power system every hour of the day, around the clock.

This is what your day will look like

You work at the intersection of the architecture and implementation, shaping how TSCNET builds and operates its infrastructure going forward. Your focus in not on maintaining legacy setups, but on establishing a modern, automated platform based on infrastructure-as-code and configuration-as-code principles. You are part of IT Operations, working closely with architecture, application teams, an external partners to design scalable and resilient environments, while continuously challenging and improving existing setups. You ensure that what is designed is also buildable and operable in practice. You bring structure to an evolving landscape by driving standardization, reducing complexity, and enabling teams through better platforms and automation. You stay close to the technology and contribute hands-on to ensure that architecture decisions result in real, working solutions.
  • Design and implement modern infrastructure architectures (on-prem, cloud, hybrid)
  • Build, establish and evolve Infrastructure-as-Code tooling (e.g. Terraform, Ansible, GitOps)
  • Drive the adoption of container platforms and orchestration technologies (e.g. Kubernetes)
  • Define and enforce architecture standards, patterns, and best practices
  • Ensure high availability, scalability, and disaster recovery across all environments
  • Align infrastructure with security and regulatory requirements (e.g. ISO 27001, GDPR)
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external providers to ensure seamless integration
  • Lead technical decision-making and architecture reviews
  • Contribute hands-on to implementation, automation, and platform engineering efforts
  • Support the transition towards more standardized, automated, and vendor-independent infrastructure.

You come with

  • Degree in Computer Science, IT, or a comparable qualification
  • Extensive experience in IT infrastructure and platform architecture as architect or engineer (typically 8+ years)
  • Strong hands-on expertise with Infrastructure-as-Code tools (e.g. Terraform, Ansible)
  • Solid experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Proven background in on-premise virtualization technologies (e.g. VMware, Hyper-V, Proxmox)
  • Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or comparable) and hybrid environments
  • Deep understanding of networking, storage, and security principles
  • Experience designing and operating high-availability and scalable systems
  • Familiarity with DevOps and/or Site Reliability Engineering practices ideally in context of Platform Engineering
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work across teams and stakeholders
  • A pragmatic, platform oriented mindset: you build solutions that work, not just concepts.
