This is what your day will look like

  • Lead and manage one of our two Engineering teams (5+ FTEs) within Business Unit Service Development, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations
  • Drive engineering processes, continuously improving efficiency and quality
  • Actively contribute (hands-on) to service and application development projects across all phases (requirements, design, development, testing)
  • Translate business needs into clear, structured requirements for software and service development
    Develop service-related business processes and ensure alignment across the organization
    Leverage technical studies and proof-of-concepts based on customer data to drive service innovation
    Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, customers, and international partners to develop regional coordination services, new concepts, and methodologies in European power system operations
    Analyse service performance indicators and identify opportunities for advancements and continuous improvement
  • Act as a bridge between technology and (regional coordination) services
  • Provide mentorship to new team members and foster knowledge sharing across the organization
  • Promote a collaborative, high-performing team culture

You come with

  • Master’s degree in Power Systems, Electrical Engineering, or a comparable field
  • 8+ years of experience in power system engineering, ideally within a Transmission System Operator (TSO) or in Power System Software Engineering environment
  • Solid understanding of service and application development lifecycles, with experience across requirements, design, development and testing phases
  • Familiarity with EU regulatory frameworks related to Regional Coordination Centers (RCCs) and TSOs
  • Ideally, hands-on experience with regional coordination services in the European energy sector
  • Proven experience in engineering leadership, managing and developing teams in a dynamic environment
  • Strong knowledge of engineering processes and a continuous improvement mindset
  • Ability to balance operational management with strategic and analytical responsibilities
  • Confidence in managing internal and external stakeholders, with an established network in the RCC/TSO landscape considered a strong advantage
  • Excellent communication skills, agile mindset and a structured, solution-oriented way of working
  • Experience working in cross-functional and international environments
