Last week from 26 to 28 June our annual TSCNET Forum took place, as in previous years again in the small village Fall, idyllically situated at the Sylvenstein Lake in the Bavarian foothills of the Alps. The annual event can best be compared to a user conference, but with a lot of supporting programme and plenty of space for personal acquaintance and interaction. The offer ranged from presentations, workshops and demo sessions to wake-up activities in the morning, a “Human Bingo”, and a large team competition with Bavarian Olympics and a quiz show at night.
Except for one power transmission network operator (TSO), operators or operational planners from all 14 TSCNET shareholders were participating. Our additional customer Transelectrica, the Romanian TSO, was also represented. The focus was on the collegial exchange and the presentation of the greatly expanded services of TSCNET as one of the European Regional Security Coordinators (RSC).
Uwe Zimmermann, one of the two managing directors of TSCNET, informed the participants about “RSC Services under new legislation”. The following day, the other Managing Director Maik Neubauer explained the latest developments and the challenges in security coordination. In addition, four workshops (“WOPT 2.0”, “Data Analytics”, “Training Scenarios AMICA”, and “Feedback on current services”), a wallpaper session (“TSCNET exhibition”) and three demo sessions (“MRA Tool”, “TSCNET Academy, and “Valigate”) were held.
Apparently not only our organisation team was very satisfied with the three days of the event (although the second day in particular was unfortunately spoiled by rain): From the participants the Forum received a total of 4.52 out of 5 possible points. Many thanks for the excellent feedback! We are already looking forward to the new edition next year!
