Office in course of construction

14.06.2019

A welcoming place in a modern design, where you can work efficiently and with pleasure, where you will find excellent technical equipment, and where you will feel at home as a guest, for example at meetings – this was the approach our office in Munich has taken right from the start. Since the opening in summer 2013, our office space has roughly doubled due to our strong growth and we have made several improvements for employees and visitors. Anyone who visits us these days feels like on a construction site in some places. Once again, it’s all about making even better use of the space for additional employees. It is getting narrower, and an attractive working environment and noise protection measures, for example, are all the more important. In addition, we have to deal with the problem that the round-the-clock services for our customers must continue without any restrictions – it is a bit like surgery on a beating heart.

“All work should be completed by the beginning of August”, explains Edyta Prościńska, Finance & Reporting Manager and one of the main people responsible for the Office Upgrade Project. From a design and technical point of view, all work is directed by the renowned Munich interior designer Daniela Störzinger, who has been focusing on office design for around 20 years. During the reconstruction work, everyone will have to accept a few restrictions. To minimise the constraints, alternative premises were hired from a neighbouring provider of rental offices and coworking space.

“It’s all worth it,” promises Edyta: “The new office will be even more attractive and offer excellent conditions for everyone.” The kitchen and training room, for example, will be completely revamped. There will also be new phone booths – so you can make undisturbed calls while at the same time not disturbing other people in the office. The adaptation to the growing number of employees is just one part of the project’s tasks. “In addition, office technology and security is undergoing a major update and is being prepared for growing challenges and requirements,” explains Edyta.

As the team continues to grow, TSCNET Services has a number of office conversions and extensions carried out. All steps should be completed by the beginning of August.

Open evening at TSCNET premises

17.10.2017

Today, TSCNET Services is the proud host of ElSeC 2017, the Conference on Electricity Security Coordination, in Munich, Germany. On the eve of the conference we had invited registrated participants to an open evening at TSCNET’s office facilities east of the Munich city centre. The event was attended by more than 70 people, among them high-ranking representatives of European transmission system operators (TSOs), security initiatives as well as regulatory and political authorities. The welcome speech was held by TSCNET’s parting Managing Director Siem Bruijns, who used the occasion to introduce his successors as managing directors, Maik Neubauer und Uwe Zimmermann.

At the premises, the guests of TSCNET could experience the workflows of a Regional Security Coordinator (RSC) in a direct manner. They were even given the opportunity to visit the Operator Room to gain an overview of the operational services and to witness a complete so-called DOPT, the Daily Operational Planning Teleconference bringing together experts of all the TSOs.

Videos including the brand-new corporate video and presentations on services and tools gave additional insight into the business of TSCNET, as did the staff members, who were always willing to give profound information. Guests could also give proof of their patience and their hand-eye coordination with a huge, handcrafted hot wire in the form of the company’s name. The enjoyable evening used for new professional acquaintances and inspiring conversations, was rounded up by captivating live music, drinks, and a flying buffet.

Office extension nearly finished

22.08.2016

Quite a few of TSCNET’s customers and partners have already had the chance to experience it: Our newly renovated and significantly extended office. AS TSCNET Services has more employees to render more and better services for more clients, the old office just became a size too small for the grown business.

Now our company is the proud tenant of the entire ground floor of Tower B within the Ten Towers complex in Munich, Germany. The office space has more than doubled. A total of 26 working places, four operator places as well as various flexible working places are now available at our premises with the opportunity to further increase the capacity. Furthermore, the established conference facilities with a total of ten fully equipped meeting rooms for up to the 30 people match all the requirements of a powerful Regional Service Coordinator (RSC). An update to the open office culture guidelines ensures that the TSCNET premises benefit from its flexible working environment on a long-term basis.

In the course of the successful extension, we took the opportunity to also refurbish the current office premises. A “meet and mingle” area flooded with natural light allows full connectivity between the two sections. As soon as the lavatories have been completely renovated, the office extension project will entirely be finalised. Guests are welcome to visit us in our new office and take a look around!
