Welcome, Matthias – let this story grow

07.02.2019

“Hell wie der lichte Tag” (“bright as day”) was the giant lighted lettering of the world-famous Munich specialist for illuminants and lighting systems, which welcomed visitors to the city centre at the Stachus for decades. The slogan comes from Osram, the company from which Matthias Graf joined TSCNET as the new Senior Manager Finance & Management Reporting in the Corporate Services unit, and ultimately suits his core tasks pretty well: to continue the company’s splendid growth story and to reliably shed light on the increasingly complex finances for internal and external stakeholders.

The 35-year-old family man studied International Business at the University of Passau in Germany and the Università di Verona in Italy. He started his career at KPMG, an auditing and consulting firm, and then worked for six years in management positions in the internal audit sector, mostly with an international focus, at Giesecke & Devrient and OSRAM. He has now joined TSCNET to streamline the financial processes, ensure effective controls and provide truly informative reporting. That’s where he keeps up with legendary investor Warren Buffett: “Managers and investors alike must understand that accounting numbers are the beginning, not the end, of business valuation.”

Matthias chose TSCNET because he wanted to be part of a growing international team of motivated people, where the individual takes responsibility and contributes to the continuous improvement of the company. He himself has spent a lot of time abroad and is fascinated by the internationality of the staff, the customers and the services. “Isn’t it great,” says Matthias, “that here the different countries work so closely together across borders to ensure that everyone in Europe can lead a better life thanks to a safe and effective electricity network?” Fully agreed – and if the numbers are on the right track it is even better.
