Public consultation CCM packages

ENTSO-E has published two documents that insiders consider to be milestones: The “Core TSOs’ proposal on the Day-Ahead Flow-based Capacity Calculation Methodology” (DA FB CCM) and the “Core TSOs’ proposal on the Intraday Flow-based Capacity Calculation Methodology” (ID FB CCM). The proposals were developed by the transmission system operators (TSOs) of the Core Capacity Calculation Region (Core CCR), among them the eleven TSC member TSOs 50Hertz (Germany), Amprion (Germany), APG (Austria), ČEPS (Czechia), ELES (Slovenia), HOPS (Croatia), MAVIR (Hungary), PSE (Poland), TENNET (Germany and the Netherlands), and TransnetBW (Germany), supported by the two Regional Security Coordinators (RSCs) Coreso and TSCNET Services.

After the approval of the national regulatory authorities, the documents now have been published. Stakeholders are invited to provide feedback until the end of July. The public consultation process, as foreseen by the Capacity Allocation and Congestion Management Guideline (CACM GL), will be followed by the completion of the methodology and its final approval.

“Even though this is a very important milestone, it is still one of many,” says Predrag Vujovic, Capacity Calculation Operations Manager at TSCNET. “We are confident that our fruitful cooperation will put us in a position to reach the actual milestone: The successful implementation of the D-2 CC business process!”
