Today’s energy system in Europe is characterised by cross-border cooperation. Regarding the power transmission grid, this cooperation is wedded to the concept of Regional Security Coordinators (RSCs) like TSCNET Services. Together with the European Network of Transmission System Operators for Electricity (ENTSO-E), TSCNET will organise the Conference on Electricity Security Coordination 2017 (ElSeC 2017). The invitation-only conference provides an interactive and attractive platform for leaders and senior executives of the sector to connect and share opinions. It will be held on Tuesday, the 17th of October, at the “Literaturhaus München” in the heart of Munich, Germany.
ElSeC 2017 is the kick-off to a series of annual conferences to strengthen regional coordination in Europe, each of them hosted by one of the RSCs. This year, the conference will cover a range of topics within three different theme parts:
A) Grid Issues & Solutions – taking up the challenges
B) Regional Coordination – the current state of play
C) The Power System in 2030 – visions for tomorrow
The conference programme includes keynote speeches, case studies, a panel discussion, and networking opportunities. The conference will be followed by a Conference Dinner.
On Monday, the 16th of October, the day before the conference, there will be an Open Evening at the premises of TSCNET Services in Munich. This informal get-together is also open to all registered participants. The office can be reached easily by public transport, directly from both Munich airport and the central station.
The participation fee is €250 (VAT excluded) for regular attendees and €125 (VAT excluded) for participants from an ENTSO-E member organisation, including TSC member TSOs. The fee covers overhead costs and includes lunch, refreshments, the conference dinner, and the open evening.
Today, TSCNET has published the ElSeC 2017 webpage (www.tscnet.eu/elsec2017/) that will be regularly updated. Dedicated invitations will be sent by mail and email. If you have questions, please contact our Conference Office by email (firstname.lastname@example.org) or by phone (+49 89 45554120).
