According to the International Institute of Business Analysis based in Whitby, Canada, business analysis is the “practice of enabling change in a company by defining needs and recommending solutions that deliver value to stakeholders”. Vedran Perić has been hired as Senior Business Analyst in TSCNET’s Team Business Development, and can tell you a thing or two about change. After obtaining two Master’s degrees, first in power systems engineering and later in power electronics and electric machinery, both in Novi Sad, the second largest city in Serbia, Vedran started his doctoral studies at the KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, Sweden, in 2011. During his studies, he also did research on power system operation and control for both the Swedish KTH and the Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands.
After completing his PhD degree and working as a consultant for power system related projects, Vedran started as Senior Power System Engineer / Business Analyst at GE Grid Solutions in Edinburgh, Scotland. Now he has taken up his post at TSCNET where he wants to leverage innovative coordinated TSO business processes. “It is difficult to imagine a better place than being in this company supporting the business processes of 13 European transmission system operators,” says Vedran.
The secondary effect was also important to him: “To make the power system more green and sustainable – a dream of every power system engineer,” explains Vedran. Well, can’t argue with that one! May his dreams come true.
